It’s only a few months ago and I missed all of my travel pals already.

In travelling together you will see the real quality of each person that you may not see in daily routine life. You may find a little “crack” but still they are the best among the best I guess 🙂

Some of my friends start the journey from Bandung (West Java) using an old VW Combi. We call it “Odong-Odong Negriku”

In choosing a travel destination, we usually decide from the specialty of the location, and the destination we choose now is Mount Tambora, probably the most destructive stratovolcano (recorded) in Indonesia with Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) 7. And in exactly April 10 2015, Tambora celebrate 200 years of the explosion, the explosion that cause a year without a summer. source: WIkipedia.org

While some of my friends choose to use the Combi and make some stop in several beautiful places, I choose to  take the plane until Lombok Island.

I use the second flight to Lombok, while some friends arrived in the afternoon.

To kill the time, me and somefriends who arrived earlier (using Odong-Odong Nusantara) decide to relax at the beach.

Suprisingly we found several beautiful spots on the way there.

We make a stop to take some picture on a small hill that we believe will give the best view.

Is that all?? Naa.. of course not, it’s Saturday night.. we still have lot’s of time to find crowds,

A friend called, ask us to join them at The Deck, a place for people who likes to have chat and pool.. People seemed had known each other.. But don’t know why, we feel it’s not a place for us that night, that’s why we go to Hu’u  🙂 and that’s we called awesome!!

Huu Bali

Huu Bali

Unlike in Jakarta, when you go to a club and have a chat with a stranger, they suddenly expect you to sleep with them,  may be not all, but most of them. Even in a luxury lounge in the centre of Jakarta.. Urge you to decide not to come to that place anymore. But not in Bali, or at least for several places we know,  more polite. You can just come, dance, say hi, have a little chat, drink. and that’s it.  We dance, partying until ummmm  3am?  more or less..  before we go back to Barrida, recharge the energy for the next day 🙂

The next day is having lunch at Warung Sulawesi, what we don’t expect is, it’s kind of Ready to Serve/Fast Food. But one thing for sure, it’s so delicious!

The Food is delicious, and also the Es Pisang Ijo. Don’t forget to order it when you plan to have lunch at this place. Then, we go to Pura Taman Ayun at Mengwi, one of UNESCO World Heritage cultural site.

The Pura is surrounded by water, lake and river. Once you put your feet inside.. The calmness of green grass will embrace you.. The sound of water.. the bird ..la la la… Can’t tell you for more, you must feel it by yourself.. 😉

If it’s not because of the rain, we may stay there longer than we expected. Time to go.. We rushed back downtown to find a place called Lello Lello Gelato at Kayu Aya 21, Seminyak.

WoW!! Lots of choices, Not only Dark Chocolates, Vanila or Strawberry.. but also Dragon Fruit! Next time, we will visit this place for more..

Still, Chocolates is my favorite.. Yummmm..

Damn.. why I don’t see this – look so yummy ice cream – before?? Should I go back to Bali just for it?

Festival Raja Ampat, October 20-25, 2011

Raja Ampat, unlike Indonesians who rarely know this magnificent place, this under and above the water heaven are very famous among international divers and tourists. It is located in a group of islands in the north west side of West Papua, the very east island of Indonesia.

Some people say, that Raja Ampat is the richest coral reef in the world, there are 1,309 fish species, 537 coral species (a remarkable 96% of all scleractinia recorded from Indonesia are likely to occur in these islands and 75% of all species that exist in the world), and 699 mollusk species, what amazing!

Raja Ampat’s marine diversity is believed to be strongly influenced by its position between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, as coral and fish larvae are more easily shared between the two oceans. It’s coral diversity, resilience, and role as a source for larval dispersal make it a global priority for marine protection.

As you can see from the picture above, a remarkable diving and travelling place, Raja Ampat or The Four Kings,  consist of four big islands named Waigeo, Misool, Salawati, Batanta and 1500 smaller ones which almost all of them still don’t have a name

These islands that located at the verynorth west side of New Guinea, get their name from local myth that tells about a woman who finds seven eggs. Four of the eggs hatches that become kings those occupy four of Raja Ampat biggest islands while the other three become a ghost, a woman, and a stone. Seem strange, but that’s what people there believed.

Testimonials:

“No doubt about it, Raja Ampat is definitely the richest place for fish that I have ever been.” –
-Dr G.R. Allen

“I was like a five-year-old, seeing a reef for the very first time. I was awestruck, held by the incredible power of this richest reef. We must, with all available resources, preserve the beauty of Raja Ampat. This may be the last frontier.” –Michael Aw

“I love the people, I love the diving, it’s super! I’ve never been for a second time to the same dive destination but now I’m thinking about going back for the third time! Should I say more?” –Peter van Dalen
